Staying healthy is important regardless of your age and wellness has always been an important part of the care provided at Selfhelp. Selfhelp has a wellness clinic once a week.. Checking the residents blood pressure, making sure they are getting enough exercise and checking to see if everyone is in good health are just some aspects of the Wellness Program. In addition to the wellness clinic, Selfhelp also offers a yoga class, regular exercise classes and tips on health and fitness. Recently, a weight training program was added to the repertoire of services the community offers. The weight training program focuses on increasing strength and muscle tone and well as improving balance.
