In order to provide continuous, ongoing healthcare to residents living at Selfhelp, we have created a medical office on our first floor. Residents living in our independent and assisted living apartments are welcome to utilize the services of the various physicians and other medical professionals who will hold regular office hours at Selfhelp. If a resident is feeling ill and can't get an appointment to see his or her primary physician, they are welcome to stop in during office hours to see one of our attending physicians. In addition, those residents who are patients of these physicians may now visit them regularly right here at Selfhelp for their ongoing medical care. No more taxi cabs to their office during the winter season, just take a short walk to the first floor, near our gift shop!

In addition, a podiatrist will have weekly office hours and a dentist, audiologist and optometrist will come in once a month to see patients. In an effort to serve our residents even better, we are currently working with other physicians and other professionals to determine their interest in maintaining regular office hours at Selfhelp. The primary objective is to offer residents convenient access to healthcare services.
