Selfhelp’s mission began in 1938 with a group of European Jewish immigrants who had a strong desire to help others like themselves become settled and rebuild their lives in Chicago. This thriving not-forprofit community continues to grow, and today provides a full continuum of health care services in a supportive and lively environment to seniors from throughout the greater Chicago Jewish community.
